Meet our volunteers

Behind Fugleadvokatene is a large group of committed people who give their time, energy and heart to making life better for birds. Some rescue and rehabilitate injured birds, while others contribute expertise or practical help. Here you can get to know some of the volunteers who make our work possible.

Jenny

Jenny is a journalist and author who runs an animal sanctuary with her husband. She became a rehabilitation volunteer with no previous experience of birds.

Mai

Mai has been a rehabilitation volunteer since July 2021. It all began with a pigeon that had thread wrapped around its foot.

Madelen

Madelen has volunteered since autumn 2024. With support from experienced mentors, she helps birds recover and return to the wild.

Ida Mathilde

Ida Mathilde joined in April 2026. She helps urban birds as part of the rehabilitation team in Bergen.

Mia

Mia became a rehabilitation volunteer in May 2025 after helping rescue and transport birds. Meet her and her domestic pigeon, Pidgey.
